I had been Drew’s friend from the beginning. I was the first one who realized he could sing. Since then I’ve been with him every step of the way, from the highest highs to the lowest lows and there’s something I’ve come to realize; People are too demanding of their gods. Drew’s fans number in the millions and they all want more than he can give. He comes alive on stage, but off of it he’s no more than a shell. I have to stand by and watch him lose more of himself every day as they leech away from him, when all I want to do is protect him. Then an opportunity arose for me to help Drew, to give him a life away from all the demands of his obsessive fans. There’s only one requirement for him to live; he must die.
